* Litter your speeches with interesting stories and incidents.

* Prepare your speeches for it is a good habit. But they should mostly be your own thoughts and ideas. Sometimes when people pick things up from books blindly, they usually tend to forget.

* Never let failures deter you because they are always the stepping stones to success.

* Learn to take criticisms in your stride.

These are some of the lessons you can imbibe if you wish to hone skills as a public speaker.
